POSITION SUMMARY Reports To: Director of Radiology Summary: Performs front desk duties in a multidisciplined radiology department, such as scheduling procedures, greeting patients, answering phones, verifying and inputting orders. Work Schedule: Must be able to work non-standard hours, sometimes in excess of 40 hours per week. SKILLS ABILITIES Education High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) Experience Six months to one year related experience required and experience in a Radiology department preferred. Experience with work flow, ordering, patient experience is also preferred. Computer Skills Proficient in Microsoft Office, email and basic computer skills for other software used throughout the hospital for your area of responsibility. Certificates Licenses N/A Other Requirements Working knowledge of CPSI, Carestream RIS and PACS preferred. This position requires constant standing, walking, pushing and pulling 0100 lbs, as well as, frequent use of hands and fingers and lifting and carrying 0 to over 100 pounds. Essential Functions Greets patients,using hospital AIDET skills. Restock supplies and undertake department cleaning duties using proper safety procedures as applicable. Enter radiology orders into the CPSI system in a timely manner. Schedule procedures/exams as needed, most beneficial to patient and department staffing. Answer phones politely with a scripted greeting. Coordinate with the doctors office and their staff to accommodate needs. Verify all orders with the test schedule on a daily basis.
