Two-physician interventional radiology service at a major academic-affiliated medical center — $400/hour on-site, with weekday and weekend call paid separately on top.
Minneapolis and St. Paul make up the largest metropolitan area between Chicago and the West Coast, with roughly three million residents, a nationally ranked restaurant and music scene, and 10,000 lakes inside easy reach. The Twin Cities pair big-city medicine with short commutes, strong public schools, and four genuine seasons: summers on Lake Minnetonka, fall on the North Shore, and winters that the locals actually plan around. Cost of living runs well below coastal metros while physician compensation in Minnesota sits above the national average.
Minneapolis–St. Paul International Airport (MSP) – approximately 10 minutes from the facility, and one of the best-connected hubs in the country with nonstop service to most major U.S. cities.
A 279-bed academic tertiary care medical center and one of the busiest teaching hospitals in the upper Midwest, with a full interventional suite, vascular ultrasound service, and an active Y-90 radioembolization program. The interventional radiology service works alongside radiology residents and fellows, follows American College of Radiology practice parameters, and covers the full range of vascular and non-vascular intervention: angiography, embolization, stent placement, thrombectomy, drainage and image-guided biopsy.
One Veterans Drive, Minneapolis, MN 55417
Full time, on site, Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Two interventional radiologists cover the service together each business day. Call is shared between the two physicians — weeknights from 4:30 PM, and weekends from Friday 4:30 PM to Monday 7:30 AM — and is compensated separately from the on-site rate at $45 per weekday call hour and $50 per weekend or holiday call hour. Two-year assignment beginning December 1, 2026.
