    Description

    Estrella Mountain Community College (EMCC) is hiring a Radiologic Technology Faculty Specially Funded/OYO (One-Year-Only) member. This position will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality, student-centered classroom and clinical workforce instruction. This position will serve as a Clinical Coordinator and may assume Program Director responsibilities as needed to support program operations and continuity. This position will use traditional, nontraditional, and innovative teaching methods across in-person, online, hybrid, and clinical settings while demonstrating strong interpersonal, leadership, and organizational skills and a commitment to student success. The position may include varying days, evenings, and weekends. New faculty will receive mentorship opportunities within the department and at the college level.

    Essential Functions

    • Plays a key role in developing and leading the Radiologic Technology program, including providing leadership for program activities and accreditation work.
    • Instructs students in a classroom setting, online or hybrid modalities, accelerated and alternative schedules and formats; uses learner-centered strategies to engage students and promote student success; demonstrates innovation in teaching and the scholarship of learning by focusing on student retention and achievement; incorporates appropriate instructional technology.
    • Develops instructional materials and curriculum, written syllabi/course outlines, and course materials; designs courses and creates learning activities; assesses and evaluates knowledge of course competencies.
    • Maintains regular office hours to assist, tutor, and advise students to promote learning, civic engagement, and personal development; works with students outside of the classroom on instructional activities and projects; develops and cultivates relationships within the college community to promote student success.
    • Participates in college and district activities, including division meetings, workshops, committee assignments, and projects; contributes to the academic life and mission of the college.
    • Engages with students, staff, and the community; maintains a team approach in collaborating with faculty, staff, and students.
    • Remains current with trends and developments in the field through attendance at conferences, courses, seminars, and/or workshops; develops and enhances knowledge of teaching Radiologic Technology courses to college students.
    • Participates in division and college assessment and program review processes; uses assessment and evaluation results to improve instruction and student learning.
