Travel CT Technologist

Position Overview

We are seeking experienced Travel CT Technologists to join a nationally recognized diagnostic imaging team. In this role, you will perform high-quality Computed Tomography (CT) examinations while ensuring exceptional patient care, image quality, and adherence to safety standards. The ideal candidate is organized, adaptable, and comfortable working with advanced CT technology in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Position 1

• Duration: 13 Weeks

• Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday

• Shift: 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM

• Wednesday Off

Position 2

• Duration: 26 Weeks

• Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday

• Shift: 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM

• Wednesday Off

• Extended orientation and training period

• Cardiac CT (Alpha Scanner) experience preferred

Position 3

• Duration: 13 or 26 Weeks

• Schedule: Monday – Friday

• Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

• Extended training available for Alpha Scanner technology

Key Responsibilities

CT Imaging

• Perform high-quality CT examinations following established imaging protocols.

• Produce diagnostic-quality images while maintaining exceptional patient care standards.

• Operate CT scanners and associated imaging technologies proficiently.

• Ensure patient identification and exam verification prior to imaging.

• Evaluate image quality and repeat or reconstruct images as necessary.

• Follow departmental imaging protocols and collaborate with radiologists when appropriate.

Patient Care

• Prepare and educate patients regarding CT procedures.

• Ensure patient comfort and safety throughout the imaging process.

• Monitor patients during examinations and respond appropriately to changes in condition.

• Practice compassionate, patient-centered care while maintaining professionalism.

Equipment & Safety

• Operate and maintain CT imaging equipment according to established guidelines.

• Follow radiation safety principles to protect patients, staff, and visitors.

• Report equipment concerns or malfunctions promptly.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Collaboration

• Communicate effectively with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.

• Demonstrate flexibility by supporting multiple imaging locations and varying schedules when needed.

• Work independently while contributing positively to a collaborative imaging team.

Required Qualifications

Education

• Associate's degree in a related field.

• Graduate of an accredited Radiography program.

Certifications

• ARRT (R) – Registered Radiologic Technologist.

• ARRT (CT) – Computed Tomography Certification.

• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Experience

• Previous CT imaging experience required.

• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced imaging environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Cardiac CT experience preferred.

• Experience with Alpha Scanner technology is highly desirable.

• Experience in high-volume outpatient or hospital imaging departments.

• Strong knowledge of advanced CT imaging protocols.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday.

• Ability to assist with patient positioning and transfers.

• Frequent bending, reaching, pushing, and pulling.

• Manual dexterity sufficient to operate advanced CT imaging equipment.

• Ability to work varying shifts, including potential on-call assignments, weekends, evenings, and holidays if required by departmental needs.

Work Environment

This position is based in a high-volume diagnostic imaging department utilizing advanced CT technology. Technologists will perform a variety of routine and specialized CT examinations while working closely with radiologists and interdisciplinary healthcare teams. Candidates should be comfortable working with advanced imaging platforms and adapting to different clinical settings throughout the assignment.

Preferred Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will have:

• Current ARRT (R) and ARRT (CT) certifications.

• Current BLS certification.

• Strong CT imaging experience with excellent image quality standards.

• Previous Cardiac CT experience (preferred).

• Experience or willingness to train on Alpha Scanner technology.

• Excellent communication, organization, and teamwork skills.

• Flexibility to work varying assignment lengths and schedules while maintaining high standards of patient care.
