At Valley Presbyterian Hospital, our Imaging Services team plays a vital role in delivering timely, accurate diagnostic care. Were seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to perform high-quality diagnostic imaging while providing exceptional patient care to individuals across all age groups. In this role, youll collaborate with radiologists and the healthcare team to ensure safe, efficient, and patient-centered imaging services.
What Youll Do
- Perform diagnostic radiographic procedures for inpatient and outpatient populations, including neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients
- Verify physician orders, patient identity, and procedure accuracy before imaging
- Obtain patient histories and assess clinical information to prioritize imaging needs
- Position patients appropriately and operate radiographic equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic images
- Adhere to ALARA radiation safety principles and all imaging protocols
- Process, label, and transmit images for timely radiologist interpretation
- Educate patients about imaging procedures, providing reassurance and clear instructions
- Monitor patient condition throughout procedures and collaborate with radiologists when clinical situations require
- Assist with patient transport, positioning, and mobility as needed
- Maintain imaging equipment, supplies, and exam rooms to ensure operational readiness
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, infection prevention, and departmental education
- Assist with orientation and cross-training of new staff and students
What Youll Bring
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience as a Radiologic Technologist; hospital experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of radiology procedures, imaging protocols, and patient positioning techniques
- Familiarity with radiology accreditation standards, regulatory requirements, and HIPAA compliance
- Excellent patient care, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to prioritize workload and provide compassionate care in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to patient safety, quality improvement, and continuous professional development
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Graduate of an AMA-approved Radiologic Technology program
- Current California Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) license required
- ARRT certification preferred
- Current California Fluoroscopy License
- Current AHA BLS certification
- Ability to obtain LA City Fire Card within 30 days of hire
- Completion of Annual Ancillary Clinical Care Swank Stroke Education within 30 days of hire or transfer
