Description
Title: Radiologic Technologist
Location: Downers Grove Illinois 60515
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: 8hr Evening Shift (40)
Shift Information: 2p-10:30p
Clinical Interviewing- No
On Call, Call Back Requirements: None
Weekend Rotation: EOW
Holiday Requirements: 1 holiday per contract
Floating Requirements: Possible to float to Advocate facilities within 30-minute range. Would know in advance if needed to float. Will likely not happen often.
About Facility:
- Beds: 285
- Level 1 Trauma Center
- Level III NICU
- Magnet Designation
- Primary Stroke Center
Unit Information:
- Beds: 6: 2 fluoro, U-arm, 3 plain films
- Census Average patients/day Busy! Level I
Minimum Years of Experience required : 1-year acute care experience
Will you accept a first-time traveler: Yes, but prefer travel experience
Patient Types/Common Diagnoses:
- NICU through geriatric patients
- Anything for normal Level 1 – trauma, extremities, etc.
Required License, National Certification, Certs:
- BLS, ARRT
- IEMA (state license)
- General x-ray
- Fluoro – video swallows, BE, upper
- OR – c-arm, o-arm, and Nav. Neuro, spinal, ortho.
Support within the Department:
- Lead Tech during the day, charge for 2 nd shift
- Radiology Transporter
- Radiologist offsite 2200. At 2300, will transfer to 3 rd party
- Other rad techs in department
- Manager/Supervisor during weekdays
- Rapid Response/Code Team
Technology/Equipment:
- EMR: EPIC
- PACS: Client
- Unit specific equipment: Client OEC c-arm, Shimadzu portables
Floating:
- Possible to float to Advocate facilities within 30-minute range
- Would know in advance if needed to float. Will likely not happen often
Orientation (facility and unit) :
- NEO
- 1-2 shifts of department orientation
Scheduling:
- Weekend rotation: Every other weekend
- On call : No
- Holiday Expectations: 1 holiday per contract
- Approval of RTO: to go through manager
- Shift times: dependent on requisition
- Schedule cycle: Schedule made in one-month increments
