Radiographer (Outpatient) - Lewisburg Ortho - Day

Essential Functions:

• Performs radiographic examinations, obtains patient history, explains routine procedures, and addresses patient concerns.
• Performs diagnostic procedures in one of the following specialty areas at a beginner level: Basic operating room procedures, fluoroscopic and overhead procedures and basic portable exams if applicable to the location of outpatient center.
• Schedules cases to coordinate with other patient examinations.
• Positions and transfers patients safely and comfortably and explains basic procedure.
• Immobilizes patients as necessary and practices radiation safety procedures.
• Properly processes images using digital technology.
• Evaluates recorded images for technical quality, consistently maintains a repeat rate under 6%.
• Participates in and collaborates with other departments on projects to improve care and efficiency as needed.

• Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span of the assigned patient population. Assesses and interprets patient age specific data and provides appropriate, age specific treatment. Provides direct patient care to assigned patient age group(s).

• Will take on call responsibilities to meet the needs of the department. On call requirements are defined separately by each hospital.
