Radiation Therapist I - Radiation Oncology

Novant Health is seeking a Radiation Therapist I to join our Cancer Institute team. In this role, you will safely and accurately deliver prescribed ionizing radiation treatments to patients under the direction of the Radiation Oncologist. You'll play a vital role in providing compassionate, high-quality cancer care while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and treatment accuracy. PRN opportunity

• Education: High School Diploma or GED, required.
• Experience: One to two years of applicable experience, preferred. 
• Licensure/Certification: ARRT in Radiation Oncology (registry eligible with 6 months to obtain certification), required. BLS, required. 
• Additional Skills (required): Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skills validation and competency testing.

• Provides radiation therapy treatments to patients according to prescribed treatment plans and established clinical standards.
• Reviews treatment plans, patient information, and treatment parameters to ensure accurate and safe treatment delivery.
• Operates radiation therapy equipment and verifies treatment setup and positioning.
