This role will assist the Racing Relations team in providing excellent customer service to horse owners, trainers, jockeys, and other racing participants. Schedule: Live Race Days | 10:00 AM 5:00 PM
Work Arrangement: On-Site Only

Position Overview

We are seeking a friendly, dependable, and organized Racing Relations Assistant to support daily operations during live thoroughbred racing events. This role will assist the Racing Relations team in providing excellent customer service to horse owners, trainers, jockeys, and other racing participants.

The ideal candidate enjoys working with people, has strong communication skills, and thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. This is a great opportunity for someone interested in horse racing, hospitality, event operations, or customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Racing Relations team with daily activities and operational needs during live race days.

• Greet and provide friendly, professional assistance to horse owners, trainers, jockeys, and guests.

• Help coordinate ticket requests, hospitality accommodations, and general participant inquiries.

• Assist with preparing, organizing, and distributing trophies and presentation materials.

• Support trophy presentations and other race-day activities as needed.

• Respond to basic questions and direct more complex requests to the appropriate team members.

• Help coordinate communications between racing participants and internal departments.

• Assist with administrative tasks, including organizing documents, maintaining records, and updating information.

• Support special events, hospitality activities, and participant engagement initiatives.

• Help ensure racing participants and guests have a positive and enjoyable experience.

• Perform additional duties as assigned to support smooth race-day operations.

Qualifications

• Previous customer service, hospitality, administrative, or event support experience preferred but not required.

• Interest in horse racing or willingness to learn about the industry.

• Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills.

• Friendly, professional, and approachable demeanor.

• Good organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to follow directions, multitask, and work effectively as part of a team.

• Comfortable interacting with guests, racing professionals, and other stakeholders.

• Dependable, punctual, and able to work scheduled live race days.

• Basic computer skills preferred.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during racing events.

• Comfortable working in both indoor and outdoor environments.

• Ability to navigate busy racing facilities, hospitality areas, and uneven walking surfaces.

• May be required to lift or carry materials weighing up to 10 pounds.

• Comfortable working around crowds, elevated noise levels, and changing weather conditions.

Schedule & Compensation

• Pay Rate: $17.00 $19.00 per hour.

• Hours: 10:00 AM 5:00 PM.

• Schedule: Live race days only, including weekends as scheduled.

• Work Location: On-site at a thoroughbred racing facility.

• Remote Work: Not available.
