Key Responsibilities
Test Method Development
Design and develop advanced test methods to evaluate thethermal, mechanical, electrical, rheological, and reliability performanceof TIMs.
Establish,optimize, andvalidatetest protocols using equipment such asTIM testers, thermal test vehicles, thermal analyzers, mechanical compression systems, rheometers, and environmental chambers.
Develop and implementautomated test sequences and instrument interfacesto improve testing throughput, repeatability, and data integrity.
Data Analysis & Reporting
Analyze large and complex datasets to extract key performance metrics andestablishstatistical confidencein results.
Preparehigh‑qualitytechnical documentation, includingstandard operating procedures (SOPs), engineering reports, and test specifications.
Present findings and recommendations tocross‑functionalteams, R&D leadership, and customer engineering groups.
Cross‑FunctionalCollaboration
Partner withmaterials scientists, design engineers, and product managersto support material formulation and product development decisions.
Supportcustomer validation testingandapplication‑specificperformance evaluations.
Train laboratory technicians and global test teams onnew test methods, equipment, and best practices.
Quality & Compliance
Ensure all test methods and procedurescomply withindustry standards (ASTM, JEDEC, ISO)and internal quality management systems.
Drive continuous improvements insafety, data integrity, and test equipment reliability.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree with3+ years of experience, or aMaster’sdegree, in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related discipline.
Hands‑onexperience inThermal/Electrical/Mechanical testing, preferably involving TIMs, polymers, adhesives, or electronic packaging materials.
Experience withthermal test systems, mechanical test equipment, and environmental or reliability testing.
Strong foundationinheat transfer, solid mechanics, and materials behavior.
Proficiencyindata analysis and statistical toolssuch as Python, MATLAB, Minitab, or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience withautomated test control systems and laboratory instrumentation(e.g., LabVIEW, PLCs).
Familiarity withsemiconductor packaging, power electronics cooling, or thermal management systems.
Experience developingcustom test platforms, fixtures, or novel test methods.
Knowledge ofrheology, viscoelastic materials, and polymer mechanics.
Demonstrated ability tolead technical projects andcross‑functionalinitiatives.
