Job Title: Technical Applications Specialist
Location: Foster City, CA
Contract Duration: 12 months
Pay Rate Range: $22.50 - $39.90/hr on W2
 
HERE’S WHAT YOU’LL DO
How will you make an impact?

• The Clinical Diagnostics Division of client is seeking a highly motivated, innovative and experienced professional to join the Research and Development department at Fremont, California.
• The R&D Scientist II position is a hands-on bench position responsible for verification and validation studies on various clinical analyzers within the Applications Team in a laboratory environment to support the launch of new assay applications.

 
What will you do?

• Execute various studies using clinical chemistry analyzers.
• Write, edit, and secure approval of protocols, reports, and technical documents.
• Compile, analyze data, and interpret results.
• Troubleshoot problems and recommend corrective actions.

 
How will you get here?
Education

• Minimum of Bachelor's degree in scientific discipline

 
Experience:

• BA/BS or equivalent in life science discipline with 3 or more years related experience, MS degree or PhD degree in life science discipline with a minimum of 1 year of experience.

 
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

• Demonstrated ability for technical proficiency.
• Hands on experience operating automated clinical chemistry analyzers.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Good organization and multi-tasking skills.
• Computer skills such as Word and Excel.

 
Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of FDA/ISO design control and regulatory requirements related to IVD products.
• Familiarity with CLSI procedures.
