Job Title: R&D Project Manager Medical Device

Location: Eatontown, NJ

Duration: 6+ Months Contract

Rate: Up to $45 - $50/hr on W2

Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced R&D Project Manager to support new product development and manufacturing initiatives within the medical device industry. The ideal candidate will have strong project leadership experience, a background in engineering or a related science field, and experience managing projects within a new product development or manufacturing environment.

The Project Manager will coordinate cross-functional project activities, manage schedules and resources, communicate with customers and project stakeholders, and support the development of product and engineering specifications. Experience supporting implants and catheter-based systems is highly relevant to this position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review project proposals and plans to determine timelines, resource requirements, staffing, funding limitations, and project procedures.
  • Establish work plans and staffing requirements for each phase of the project.
  • Coordinate project personnel and communicate duties, responsibilities, deliverables, and scope of authority.
  • Direct and coordinate project activities to ensure projects progress according to schedule and within budget.
  • Review project status reports and modify schedules or plans as required.
  • Provide technical guidance to project personnel and help resolve project-related issues.
  • Prepare project reports for management, customers, and other stakeholders.
  • Lead customer meetings and manage ongoing customer communications.

Must-Have Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related science field.
  • 3+ years of experience in a new product development and/or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong project leadership and coordination experience.
  • Experience working with Computer-Aided Design and Engineering tools.
  • Proficiency with standard office software, including word processors, spreadsheets, databases, and related applications.
  • Experience working in a medical device environment is preferred.
