As an R&D Field Safety Engineer, you won"t be applying a safety playbook - you"ll be writing one. You"ll evaluate the safety risks of brand-new automation systems, partner with the design teams inventing them, and take those systems from prototype to production across the US and Canada.

Key job responsibilities

1. Perform safety evaluations during all development phases of a product.

2. Collaborate on product deployment activities with engineering, facilities, site safety, and operations teams, as well as suppliers and contractors.

3. Develop comprehensive safety validation protocols for internal and external teams installing OneMHS equipment in our fulfillment network.

4. Advise site safety, engineering, and operations teams on safety regulations and regulatory compliance concerns relating to field environment and construction safety.

A day in the life

Perform safety evaluations during the field deployment phase of a product - from Alpha and Beta prototypes to full-scale rollout.

Partner with product design, engineering, facilities, site safety, and operations teams - plus suppliers and general contractors - to build and execute risk-mitigation plans.

Advise site safety, engineering, and operations teams on safety regulations and compliance for field and construction environments.

Travel to deployment sites across the US and Canada (up to 75%) - you"ll see your work come to life on the floor.
