Your Role

Akkodis is seeking a R&D Engineer for a Contract with a client in St Paul, MN. The ideal candidate will lead cross-functional feature development, translate product roadmaps into clear requirements, and drive successful software delivery within a regulated medical device environment.

Rate Range: $55/Hour to $58/Hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

R&D Engineer Responsibilities include:

• Leading cross-functional teams to define, prioritize, and deliver software application features.

• Translating product roadmap initiatives into detailed requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.

• Driving Agile development activities, including backlog management, sprint planning, and risk identification.

• Managing system and software requirements, ensuring traceability, compliance, and design alignment.

• Collaborating with engineering and verification teams on software/hardware integration, root cause analysis, and solution development.

• Mentoring team members while ensuring software products meet quality, cybersecurity, and regulatory requirements.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.

• 10+ years of experience in software engineering, software development, or systems engineering.

• Strong hands-on experience with C++ and a proven track record of developing complex software applications.

• Experience creating, managing, and translating system/software requirements into effective architectures and software designs.

Pay Details: $55.00 to $58.00 per hour
