About the Role

This role involves supporting and contributing to research and development programs, focusing on delivering customer-valued solutions and driving profitable growth. You'll be involved in research, applications development, materials enhancements, and cost-out initiatives to support the company's business strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Represent the company's technical voice to customers in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
  • Collaborate to understand customer needs and rapidly drive the design, development, and implementation of products and processes.
  • Exchange technical information to address customer and stakeholder requests.
  • Support projects within the innovation pipeline.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, and Quality to resolve technical challenges.
  • Contribute to defining critical quality specifications and author development technical specifications.
  • Support Stage Gate programs while learning core risk management principles.
  • Plan, execute, and analyze production trials with guidance from R&D personnel.
  • Learn and apply foundational understandings of material and polymer properties.
  • Demonstrate technical skills and problem-solving aptitude.
  • Gain knowledge of the intellectual property system and information management.
  • Ensure documenting and reporting of work.

Minimum Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or Polymer Science preferred.
  • 2-3 years of technical experience, preferably in a manufacturing R&D or Process role.
  • Demonstrated ability in applying scientific methodology and project management tools.
  • Curious nature with adaptable learning, communication, and interpersonal skills.
