    Summary:

    We are seeking a detail-oriented Data Governance & Model Oversight Consultant to support model governance, data quality, and analytical oversight initiatives within a highly regulated environment. This role will serve as a key partner across business, technology, risk, and data teams to ensure the integrity, reliability, and governance of critical data and analytical processes.

    The ideal candidate will have experience supporting analytical models, performing data analysis within Teradata environments, monitoring data quality, and driving remediation efforts for complex data issues. This position requires strong project coordination skills, stakeholder management capabilities, and the ability to operate independently while maintaining compliance with enterprise governance standards.

    Responsibilities:

    • Support ownership and oversight activities for analytical and quantitative models throughout implementation, maintenance, validation, and controlled change processes.

    • Review and challenge model assumptions, methodology, and outputs to identify potential risks, issues, or improvement opportunities.

    • Ensure model documentation, controls, and governance requirements are maintained in accordance with regulatory and audit expectations.

    • Perform complex data analysis and validation activities using SQL within Teradata environments.

    • Analyze large and complex datasets to identify trends, anomalies, risks, and actionable business insights.

    • Monitor, validate, and report on key data quality metrics including accuracy, completeness, consistency, and timeliness.

    • Conduct root cause analysis of data quality issues and partner with stakeholders to implement sustainable corrective actions.

    • Collaborate with business, technology, risk, and data management teams to identify and resolve data defects and control gaps.

    • Track and communicate project milestones, risks, dependencies, and deliverables across multiple stakeholder groups.

    • Manage and coordinate complex initiatives involving cross-functional teams to ensure successful execution and delivery.

    • Support audit, compliance, and governance reviews by maintaining accurate documentation and demonstrating control effectiveness.

    Qualifications:

    • Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

    • 5+ years of experience in data governance, data management, analytics, model oversight, risk management, or a related field.

    • Experience supporting analytical or quantitative models within a governed environment.

    • Strong SQL skills with experience performing data analysis and validation in Teradata.

    • Experience analyzing large datasets and translating findings into business recommendations.

    • Knowledge of data quality management practices, controls, and reporting methodologies.

    • Experience conducting root cause analysis and leading issue resolution efforts.

    • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and complex projects simultaneously.

    • Strong stakeholder management, communication, and organizational skills.

    • Experience working within financial services, banking, risk, compliance, or regulatory environments.

    • Familiarity with model risk management, data governance frameworks, or enterprise data controls.

    • Experience supporting audit readiness, regulatory reviews, or control testing activities.

    • Knowledge of data lineage, data quality tools, or data governance platforms.

    • Ability to influence and collaborate effectively across business and technical teams.
