Quality Welding Inspection Specialist
Location: Virginia Beach, VA
Pay: $26.00 - $32.00 per hour
We're partnering with a growing manufacturing company that designs and builds custom industrial equipment for mission-critical facilities. We're looking for a Quality Welding Inspection Specialist who is passionate about quality, thrives in a manufacturing environment, and has a strong understanding of welding standards and inspection processes.
In this role, you'll help ensure products meet engineering specifications, customer requirements, and internal quality standards while supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the manufacturing operation.
What You'll Do
- Inspect products throughout the manufacturing process to verify compliance with engineering drawings and specifications.
- Perform final inspections using quality checklists and established inspection procedures.
- Identify, document, and communicate quality concerns while maintaining accurate inspection records.
- Verify compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and report process deviations.
- Support ISO quality management activities, including internal audits and certification initiatives.
- Assist with customer complaint investigations, corrective actions, and root cause analysis.
- Partner with production and quality teams to improve manufacturing processes and product quality.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives using quality tools and best practices.
What We're Looking For
- 2+ years of quality control experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience inspecting welded assemblies or knowledge of welding standards.
- Familiarity with electrical manufacturing or electrical standards is a plus.
- Working knowledge of ISO quality systems and audit processes.
- Experience with Root Cause Analysis, FMEA, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of two years of manufacturing quality control experience.
- Welding inspection experience or knowledge of welding standards preferred.
