Cullerton Group has a new opportunity for a Quality/Test Engineer 2. The work will be done onsite in Mossville, Illinois. This is a long-term position that can lead to permanent employment with our client. Compensation is up to $37.61/hour + full benefits (vision, dental, health insurance, 401k, and holiday pay).
Job Summary
Cullerton Group is seeking a Quality/Test Engineer to support product quality, reliability, and customer satisfaction initiatives for advanced equipment electronics, software, and integrated systems. This role will focus on investigating product issues, analyzing quality data, supporting technical problem resolution, and collaborating with engineering teams to improve product performance. The ideal candidate will possess strong troubleshooting abilities, a customer-focused mindset, and a desire to grow technical expertise in complex electromechanical systems.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and maintain quality standards, testing procedures, and documentation for evaluating product reliability and performance.
• Collect, analyze, and report quality and reliability data to identify trends and support continuous improvement efforts.
• Assist in troubleshooting product issues involving electrical, software, communication, and hydraulic systems.
• Support customers, dealers, and internal teams by addressing product inquiries and quality concerns.
• Collaborate with engineering and product support teams to investigate root causes and implement corrective actions.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field; equivalent technician experience may be considered.
• 2–4 years of experience in quality engineering, testing, product support, or a related engineering discipline.
• Experience with electrical troubleshooting and basic software diagnostics.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office products, multimeters, oscilloscopes, and technical diagnostic tools.
• Knowledge of J1939 CAN communication, Ethernet communication, hydraulic systems, and electronic sensors.
• Strong analytical, communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with technical writing, data analysis, and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Experience creating scripts, macros, or process automation tools.
• Master’s degree in Engineering or related field.
• Experience supporting heavy equipment, industrial machinery, or complex electronic systems.
