Akkodis is seeking a Quality Technician V for a Contract job with a client in Rochester, NY. The ideal candidate must have strong experience in quality inspection, incoming inspection activities, calibration support, and medical device quality systems, along with the ability to interpret engineering drawings and utilize precision measurement equipment.
Rate Range: $24/hour to $26/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Quality Technician V job responsibilities include:
Perform incoming inspection activities, including part receipt verification, visual and mechanical inspections, ERP updates, and non-conforming material documentation.
Manage and maintain non-conforming material records and support disposition activities using quality management systems.
Conduct First Article Inspection (FAI) activities and complete final product verification and audit release processes.
Participate in customer audits, third-party compliance audits, internal audits, and process audits.
Support the calibration program by coordinating calibration activities, maintaining calibration records, and managing calibration databases.
Assist Engineering teams with Engineering Sample Inspection Reports and product quality evaluations.
Support review of customer returns, RMAs, and quality-related investigations as needed.
Collaborate closely with Manufacturing, Engineering, and supplier teams to identify, analyze, and resolve product quality issues.
Desired Qualifications:
Associate Degree (AAS) in a technical discipline.
5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably within a Quality Inspection or Quality Assurance role.
Experience working in medical device manufacturing or other regulated industries.
Familiarity with validation, calibration, and quality requirements within regulated manufacturing environments.
Strong proficiency with: Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access, ERP Systems, eQMS Platforms (e.g., Compliant Pro), Calibration Databases.
Experience using precision measurement equipment including:
CMM, Optical Comparator, Calipers, Micrometers, Height Gages, Multimeters, Oscilloscopes
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience supporting FDA-regulated or ISO-certified manufacturing environments.
Knowledge of quality auditing processes and compliance programs.
Experience supporting supplier quality investigations and corrective actions.
Familiarity with non-conformance management, root cause analysis, and CAPA processes.
Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.

Pay Details: $24.00 to $26.00 per hour
