POSITION OBJECTIVEAudit finished products, products being processed, incoming materials, parts, and assemblies, for conformance to company standardsROLES & RESPONSIBILITIESPerform audits of samples and approve-reject based on conformance requirements Ensure that non-conforming material or products are documented, quarantined, and reworked or repaired, where applicable. Perform testing and update related documentation, where necessary Utilize and maintain QA EHS Insight quality and safety reporting and tracking system Interpret complex blueprints, determine gauge methods, and participate in final disposition of discrepant materialMonitor and evaluate the conformance of statistically controlled processes, where applicable. Assist with resolution and root cause analysisMaintain and calibrate electrical and dimensional measuring and testing equipmentSkillfully and accurately use all inspection gauges and instruments, including set-up, analysis and adjusting Work directly with engineers, supervisors, and other personnel regarding various manufacturing/quality issues Maintain all quality assurance documentationAssist in the audit of standard operating instructionsWork with service center employees (operations & inventory) to follow written process and proceduresPersonally observe safety and security procedures and proper use of equipment and material. Actively promote safety process and report any safety issues to proper channels for action.REQUIRED EDUCATIONHigh School Diploma or equivalentEXPERIENCEMinimum of 1 year of dimensional inspection in the field of quality requiredSKILLSAbility to follow the company's IMS (in accordance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 & ISO 45001) policies and procedures at all times Proficient computer skills with knowledge of MS Office and/or company specific databases Must be able to work well with stringent deadlines and possess good organizational skills Good attention to detail Strong customer focus with good communication, interpersonal, and team working skillsMust be familiar with ISO: 9000 requirements including quality practices and proceduresWorking knowledge of the Gagemaker System and related softwareFamiliar with the operation and use of inspection measuring devices (i.e. calipers, micrometers, comparators, bore gages, electrical multimeters, meggers, etc.)Must be familiar with quality practices and procedures, (i.e. sampling plans, tolerance, functional testing, and visual inspections)Comfortable reading complex blueprints and customer related drawingsWORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSWork is performed in both a controlled & uncontrolled climate environmentOccasionally required to move about the facilityOccasional travel and On call requiredLifting of up to 50 lbs.Use of personal protective equipment is mandatoryThis is a safety sensitive position
