Description

Advanced Personnel Resources is currently seeking an experienced Quality Technician for a third-shift, temp-to-hire opportunity with a well-established manufacturing company in the Triad.The Quality Technician will perform floor inspections, physical-property testing, sample preparation, and data analysis to ensure products meet established quality and customer specifications. This role works closely with Quality, Production, and other plant departments to identify concerns, communicate results, and support timely product release.Position DetailsPay: $21.00–$22.00 per hourSchedule: Third shiftTraining: Initial training may take place on first shiftRequired Footwear: Steel-toe shoesKey ResponsibilitiesComplete quality inspections in support of daily production schedulesPerform required laboratory and physical-property testingCollect and prepare production samples for testing and auditsVerify testing is completed according to established standards, procedures, and specificationsReview and analyze test results to support product approval and releaseCommunicate quality concerns and findings to Production and Quality team membersProvide data to support problem-solving and corrective-action effortsAssist with the investigation of customer concerns and product-quality issuesMaintain accurate testing records and documentationGenerate, review, and approve Certificates of AnalysisOperate and understand quality-testing and measurement equipmentMaintain an organized, clean, and safe work area in accordance with 5S standardsWork collaboratively with team members across all shifts and plant departmentsAssist with additional quality-related duties as assignedTesting and Measurement EquipmentThe position may use equipment such as:Micrometers and thickness-verification equipmentTensile, elongation, tear, haze, and coefficient-of-friction testing equipmentSpectrophotometers and microscopesResistivity and shrink-testing equipmentScan guns, sample presses, cutting dies, and calibration toolsTape measures, rulers, cameras, and other inspection toolsRequired QualificationsHigh school diploma or GEDAt least two years of experience in a manufacturing environmentKnowledge of quality methods, inspections, and testing proceduresStrong attention to detail and accuracyAbility to read measurement equipment, specifications, and rulers accuratelyBasic computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and WordStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamWillingness to work overtime and weekends when requiredPreferred QualificationsTwo-year technical degreePrevious experience as a Quality Technician, Floor Inspector, or Quality InspectorQuality Technician certificationExperience with problem solving, data analysis, and manufacturing test methodsPhysical RequirementsAbility to stand and walk for extended periodsStrong hand-eye coordinationAbility to lift up to 40 poundsPlease attach your resume, preferably in Microsoft Word format, for consideration.
