Quality Control Technician
Location: Ogden, UT
Pay: $18.65/hour
Smart Staffing is seeking a Quality Control Technician to support quality and food safety in a high-volume beverage manufacturing environment. This position focuses on laboratory testing, product sampling, and environmental monitoring to ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), food safety standards, and internal quality specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform microbiological testing and aseptic sampling
- Test raw materials, packaging components, and finished products
- Conduct pH checks and commercial sterility testing
- Perform environmental swabbing, air monitoring, and water sampling
- Prepare media and materials for microbial testing
- Accurately document test results and maintain records
- Support quality investigations and daily lab operations
- Adhere to GMP, Food Safety, Quality, and Safety procedures
Qualifications
- Experience in food, beverage, GMP, laboratory, or QA/QC preferred
- Background in microbiology or food safety is a plus
- Degree in microbiology, food science, biology, chemistry, or related field preferred
- Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods
- Steel-toed shoes required
Schedule
Rotating 3-3-4 schedule, 12-hour shifts, 6:00 PM 6:00 AM.
