Quality Technician

Position: Quality Inspector

Pay: $19/hour

Location: Monroe, NC

Hours: Monday-Friday 6:00am-2:00pm

A Union County small business with over 30 years in operation, seeking a motivated individual to work independently. The role requires attention to detail and basic Excel skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Inspect and test raw materials to identify quality issues before they enter production.
• Perform visual inspections for labels, packaging, and contaminants on incoming materials and finished products.
• Assist in testing materials using equipment for tests such as extruder strip bend, melt flow, bulk density and compression tests.
• Inspect finished goods daily from production lines.
• Operate lab extruder and prepare samples for testing.
• Maintain, calibrate, and clean lab equipment and the quality lab area.
• Track and store samples, and maintain inventory and test results.
• Manage documentation related to raw materials and finished goods quality.
• Quarantine and label rejected materials and issue rejection reports.
• Operate a forklift to move material
• Pull pellets out to weigh and test

This position requires a strong eye for detail, ability to work independently, and basic proficiency in Excel.
