Quality Technician - Final Inspection

Ingersoll's US operations are housed on our state-of-the-art manufacturing and marketing campus in Rockford, Illinois. We are currently accepting applications for a Quality Technician.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities include:

• Perform both sample and 100% inspection for dimensional and visual characteristics for in-process and final inspection requirements.
• Blueprint reading and interpretation, including a basic understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
• Review vendor certifications for accuracy.
• Assist in development of written inspection specifications.

Skills/Qualifications:

• Experience in a metal cutting and/or grinding manufacturing environment preferred.
• Basic PC literacy with previous experience in Microsoft Office Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel), AS400 or similar systems knowledge, with the ability to learn internal systems.
• Detail oriented with good documentation skills.
• Basic understanding of manufacturing processes.
• Written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to interface well within a team and other departments.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities.

This role has the potential to expand into advanced quality, metrology, or manufacturing support functions based on performance, initiative, and ongoing skill development.

Successful candidates will demonstrate the ability to work well independently, as well as with others, in a team environment. Candidates should possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, possess a good work ethic, demonstrate reliable and punctual work habits, demonstrate safety consciousness, and always conduct themselves in a professional manner.

The Salary range for this position is $22-25/hr.
