Our client in Fairdale, KY is actively looking for a Quality Technician to join their team.

The Quality Technician is responsible for supporting quality control activities throughout the manufacturing process. This position performs inspections and measurements, monitors production processes, documents quality results, and assists with the investigation and resolution of quality issues. The Quality Technician works closely with Production, Engineering, Maintenance, and Supply Chain teams to ensure products meet established specifications, customer requirements, and applicable quality standards.

• Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections of materials, components, assemblies, and finished products.
• Inspect products according to engineering drawings, specifications, work instructions, and established quality standards.
• Use precision measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, height gauges, and other inspection tools.
• Verify dimensions, tolerances, workmanship, materials, and overall product conformity.
• Monitor manufacturing processes and identify quality issues, defects, or deviations from specifications.
• Document inspection results accurately and maintain quality records in accordance with company procedures.
• Identify and properly document nonconforming materials and products.
• Assist with investigations of nonconforming products, customer complaints, and internal quality issues.
• Support root cause analysis and corrective action activities using tools such as 5 Whys, Fishbone Diagrams, and Pareto Analysis.
• Assist with the implementation and verification of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Conduct routine quality audits of production areas, processes, equipment, and documentation.
• Collect and record quality data and assist with tracking quality metrics and KPIs.
• Support Statistical Process Control (SPC) activities and monitor process trends where applicable.
• Assist with first-piece, first-article, and in-process inspections as required.
• Verify that production documentation and inspection records are complete and accurate.
• Communicate quality concerns to Production, Engineering, Supervisors, and other appropriate personnel.
• Assist with calibration and control of inspection and measurement equipment.
• Support internal and external audits as required.
• Assist with employee training and communication regarding quality requirements and inspection procedures.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement, waste reduction, and defect prevention.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe inspection and work area.
• Promote a culture of quality, safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.

• Diploma or certificate in Quality, Manufacturing, Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or a related field preferred.
• Previous experience in a manufacturing or quality inspection environment is an asset.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and basic quality control principles.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, tolerances, and technical documents.
• Knowledge of dimensional inspection methods and precision measurement equipment.
• Familiarity with GD&T is an asset.
• Basic knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and statistical analysis.
• Understanding of root cause analysis and problem-solving techniques.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with ERP, Quality Management Systems (QMS), or inspection software is an asset.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a cross-functional team.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

• Work in compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA), applicable regulations, and company health and safety policies and procedures.
• Properly use and wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Report any workplace hazards, unsafe conditions, or safety concerns to the appropriate supervisor.
• Immediately report any risks or potential risks of workplace violence or harassment to the supervisor.
• Do not remove or make ineffective any protective device without providing an adequate temporary substitute.
• Do not operate equipment, machinery, or devices in a manner that may endanger yourself or others.
• Follow all established safe work practices and procedures.
• Attend all required Health and Safety training programs and apply the knowledge gained to daily work activities.

• Diploma, certificate, or post-secondary education in Quality, Manufacturing, Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or a related discipline preferred.
• 1–3 years of experience in quality inspection or manufacturing is preferred.
• Equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant manufacturing experience may be considered.
