    Description

    The Role:

    As the Quality Technician, you will join our Quality team and support by performing complex administrative support functions in document control according to well established procedures.

    Your Responsibilities:

    • Manages document control, update and revise as necessary; collects and maintains files of the latest revision level documentation necessary to define product configuration and control manufacturing processes and training; maintains computer database for filed documentation and training.

    • Timely distribution of latest revision level documentation to all appropriate users and ensure that obsolete documentation is removed from distribution; ensures conformance to customer requirements and company standards.

    • Assists Managers with documents, processes and procedures; preparing and submitting documents on time.

    • Composes technical manuals, instructions, procedures and documents.

    • Works individually and as a team to develop and implement quality and efficiency improvements.

    • Professional level of confidentiality in handling employee information.

    • May analyze operating practices, forms and standards to create or revise established procedures.

    • Establishing and maintaining interpersonal relationships; training and teaching others.

    • Maintenance of a clean and orderly work area free of excess materials.

    • Support of and involvement in company, department, and/or safety policies, procedures, programs and activities.

    • May be required to cross train and demonstrate competency in all essential job functions of the department working at different workstations as production needs require.

    • Establishing and maintaining interpersonal relationships; training and teaching others.

    • Maintenance of a clean and orderly work area free of excess materials.

    • Support and involvement in company, department, and/or safety policies, procedures, programs, and activities.

    Requirements:

    • Associate''s degree or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience with training concepts, quality techniques and lean manufacturing or six sigma principles.
    • Must have knowledge of a variety of computer software applications, including word processing, spreadsheets, database and presentation software.
    • Demonstrated ability in creating and supporting a strong, progressive team and an ability to communicate effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization.
    • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, proportions and decimals. Ability and understanding of various measuring devices in meeting drawing dimensions and specifications.
    • Ability to read and interpret documents such as blueprints, work orders, work instructions, diagrams, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Good verbal and written communication skills are necessary.
    • Work requires continual attention to detail in follow through, establishing priorities and meeting deadlines.
