    We're hiring a Quality Assurance Technician (also known as a Quality Technician, QA Technician, or Quality Control Technician) to support manufacturing operations.

    Job Description

    Wynalda Packaging is an industry-leading folding carton manufacturer serving global leaders across a wide range of industries.

    This individual would inspect products manufactured to ensure compliance with contract specifications by performing the following duties.

    We are looking for a 3rd shift Quality Assurance Technician.

    3rd shift - 10:30pm - 6:30am overtime as needed

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities

    • Perform and document "start-up" procedures per Work Instructions on:
    • Printing presses, die-cutters and gluers (Graphic Drive)
    • Printing presses and bindery equipment (Montana Trail)
    • Perform testing on inbound raw materials.
    • Make regular checks of retains throughout each job for each department.
    • Verify proofs, sign-off sheets, and retains at the completion of each job.
    • Inspect finished cut sizes of card, wraps, and books.
    • Watch for mixed product.
    • Inspect yellow marked material loads before die-cutting.
    • Verify that the die-cutters are correctly separating yellow marked material.
    • Keep yellow marked material separate from good material
    • Inspect and verify color on customer samples.
    • Perform testing on finished product.
    • Check gluers for barcode readers and glue detectors.
    • Inspect pulls and answer accordingly.
    • Initiate sorting documents when required.
    • Account for all scrap material and keep records.
    • Audit workers and processes throughout entire company.
    • Verify that everyone does line clearance between jobs.
    • Check skid-tag to skid information before jobs are shipped.
    • Perform milstandards on finished products.
    • Complete shortage forms on any jobs less than count.
    • Issue CAPARs.
    • Other duties may be assigned.

    • Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

    Education/Experience

    • High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
    • Prior manufacturing experience preferred but not essential
