Quality Assurance Technician (Entry-Level)

Are you looking for a role within the Food Science, Biology, Chemistry, Biotechnology, or a related scientific field looking to start your career in the food industry? We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Technician to join a growing food manufacturing team.

This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in food quality, food safety, laboratory testing, and GMP-regulated manufacturing. Candidates with internship experience, academic laboratory experience, or limited industry experience are encouraged to apply.

Position Overview

As a Quality Assurance Technician, you will play an important role in ensuring food products meet established quality and safety standards. You will support quality audits, sample preparation, testing activities, documentation review, and routine quality assurance functions throughout the manufacturing process.

Working alongside experienced quality professionals, you"ll gain valuable exposure to food safety programs, GMP requirements, laboratory practices, quality control testing, and food manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities

  • Perform quality audits of manufacturing processes and facility operations to ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards.
  • Support work order management and quality documentation activities.
  • Assist with sample preparation, microbiological testing preparation, and release activities.
  • Collect and prepare samples for testing and analysis.
  • Perform routine quality assurance tasks, including product checks, inspections, sampling, and documentation review.
  • Maintain accurate records and complete required quality documentation.
  • Support food safety and quality initiatives throughout the manufacturing facility.
  • Assist with investigations and corrective actions when quality issues arise.
  • Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), and company quality procedures.
  • Collaborate with production and quality teams to ensure products meet customer and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant work environment.

Experience

  • 0-2 years of experience in food manufacturing, quality assurance, quality control, laboratory testing, or a related field.
  • Internship, co-op, academic laboratory, or research experience is highly valued.
  • Recent graduates are strongly encouraged to apply.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
