    About the Role

    We are seeking a Quality Technician to join our team manufacturing components for data center infrastructure (power distribution units, server racks, cabling, busway, or similar electrical/mechanical assemblies). This role is responsible for inspecting incoming materials and finished components to ensure they meet quality and reliability standards before shipment. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience using multimeters and other basic testing equipment, along with a general understanding of electrical systems.

    Responsibilities

    • Inspect and test data center components (racks, PDUs, cabling, busway, enclosures, etc.) for defects or deviations from specifications
    • Use multimeters and other hand tools to test electrical continuity, voltage, and resistance on components and assemblies
    • Verify components meet dimensional, cosmetic, and functional quality standards
    • Document inspection results and maintain accurate quality records
    • Identify and report non-conforming products or process issues
    • Perform basic troubleshooting on electrical/mechanical components as needed
    • Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety protocols
    • Collaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues
    • Assist with calibration checks on testing equipment

    Requirements

    • High school diploma or equivalent required
    • Experience working in an industrial, manufacturing, or electronics assembly environment
    • Working knowledge of multimeters and basic electrical testing
    • Basic understanding of electrical circuits and components
    • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, or specifications (preferred)
    • Strong attention to detail and record-keeping skills
    • Ability to stand, bend, and lift up to 25-50 lbs as needed
    • Comfortable working around industrial equipment and machinery

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Prior quality control or quality assurance experience, ideally in electronics, electrical, or data center/IT hardware manufacturing
    • Familiarity with ISO or other quality management systems
    • Basic computer skills for entering inspection data

    Physical Requirements

    • Ability to stand for extended periods
    • Ability to work in a plant/warehouse setting with varying temperatures and noise levels
    • Use of PPE (safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection) as required
