Schedule: Monday through Friday 2:00pm to 10:30pm (Afternoon Shift)

Experience: We are seeking candidates with at least 3 years' experience in a Laboratory/Quality environment within a Manufacturing company. If you have Academic Laboratory experience that is a plus. Candidates must be able to work afternoon shift hours of 2:00pm to 10:30pm, Monday through Friday.

Summary:

We are seeking an experienced QC Technician to join our 2nd shift team in High Point, NC. This role is responsible for performing quality control testing on raw materials, in-process materials, and finished solvent-borne coatings to ensure products meet established quality standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in chemical manufacturing quality control, hands-on laboratory testing experience, and a commitment to data integrity, compliance, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform QC testing of raw materials, in-process materials, and finished solvent-borne coatings.
• Maintain 100% adherence to QW methods, SOPs, specifications, and data integrity requirements.
• Test key parameters including viscosity, solids, density, color, gloss, dry time, and application properties.
• Support timely and accurate batch release and identify/escalate OOS, OOT, and quality deviations.
• Support and drive continuous improvement and quality improvement projects.
• Analyze quality data and trends to identify recurring issues and improvement opportunities.
• Maintain laboratory equipment, calibration, documentation, and audit readiness.
• Follow all EHS, GMP/GLP, quality, and documentation requirements.
• Support training and development of QC technicians and promote a strong quality-first culture.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of QC laboratory experience in manufacturing industry (Coatings, Paints, Resins, Polymers, or related experience is a plus, but not required).
• High School Diploma is required. 2 or 4 year Degree in Engineering is prefered
• Strong laboratory testing, analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with solvent-borne coatings and quality systems is a plus.
• Strong communication, teamwork, attention to detail, and data analysis skills.
