Quality Technician-2nd Shift

Responsibilities: Perform airflow testing, including loading and unloading parts, preparing components using foil tape and sealing wax, conducting scheduled tests, analyzing results, and documenting findings in Microsoft Excel. Inspect components using precision measuring tools and equipment, including calipers, micrometers, gauges, borescopes, and other inspection tools, to verify conformance with customer specifications.

Summary:

• Seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Quality Inspector to support airflow testing and quality inspection processes in an aerospace manufacturing environment.
• This position will primarily focus on airflow testing, inspecting components, documenting results, and ensuring products meet customer specifications.
• The selected candidate will receive training to become a certified inspector.
• When airflow testing workloads are slower, this individual will assist with Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) inspection activities.
• This role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to interpret technical drawings, and a commitment to quality and safety.

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 3:30 PM–12:00 AM

Responsibilities:

• Perform airflow testing, including loading and unloading parts, preparing components using foil tape and sealing wax, conducting scheduled tests, analyzing results, and documenting findings in Microsoft Excel.
• Inspect components using precision measuring tools and equipment, including calipers, micrometers, gauges, borescopes, and other inspection tools, to verify conformance with customer specifications.
• Assist with incoming, in-process, and final inspections using CMM equipment as needed, including analyzing measurement data and communicating findings to machine operators.
• Read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, operation sheets, travelers, and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) requirements to ensure products meet specifications.
• Maintain accurate inspection records, communicate quality concerns to management and engineering, follow safety procedures, and maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Three or more years of CMM production operation experience preferred.
• Experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment preferred; aerospace industry experience is a plus.
• Experience with at least one of the following software programs: Calypso, OpenDMIS, or MCOSMOS.
• Experience operating at least one of the following CMM machines: ZEISS, Mitutoyo, or WENZEL.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications, with a strong understanding of GD&T.
• Knowledge of quality control principles and practices.
• Must be able to lift, push, and/or pull up to 35 pounds regularly and perform physical activities including standing, sitting, reaching, bending, twisting, and grasping throughout the shift.
