    Quality Systems & Inspection Technician — ISO 9001 (NASH)

    Day in the life

    Your morning starts early at our Bentleyville Facility in Charleroi, PA (Gardner Denver Nash — 200 Simko Blvd., Charleroi, PA 15022). On 1st shift (5:00 a.m.–1:30 p.m.), you’ll pull the day’s test schedule, review work orders, performance specifications, test manuals, and schematics, and set up the right instruments to verify that our units meet spec—or to uncover the root cause when they don’t.

    As production gets underway, you’ll move between receiving, in‑process, and final inspections, documenting results against prints and standards. You’ll help teammates interpret drawings, calibrate gauges and portable CMM equipment, and capture findings in our quality control software and SAP. When a customer or supplier raises a concern, you’ll jump in to investigate, drive disposition, and record corrective actions.

    What you’ll own

    • Developing and training others on our ISO 9001 quality management system documentation
    • Executing and supporting receiving, in‑process, and final inspections
    • Leading or coordinating training on quality documents and ensuring records are complete and stored per procedure
    • Resolving customer and supplier quality issues and documenting dispositions
    • Administering document control: Quality Manual, procedures, work instructions, non‑conformances, inspection reports, and more
    • Collaborating daily with engineering, production, and supplier quality teams
    • Controlling calibration equipment and supporting device database management
    • Assisting with internal and supplier audits of the quality system
    • Other duties as assigned

    What you bring

    • At least 2 years in a manufacturing setting and 3+ years of hands‑on quality inspection
    • Fluency with standard inspection tools and metrology practices; ability to read/interpret technical drawings and specs
    • MRP experience (SAP preferred); proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
    • Clear communication, strong problem‑solving, and solid organizational habits
    • Self‑starter who works independently with minimal supervision and partners well across teams

    Preferred strengths

    • Background in fabrication, weld inspection, and NDE methods
    • Salesforce familiarity
    • Experience with portable CMMs
    • Steel mill or foundry exposure
    • High school diploma or GED required; technical school or related post‑secondary training (machining, measurement, analysis, lab, casting/foundry) preferred

    Tools and tech

    • CAD (AutoCAD)
    • Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM), calipers, micrometers
    • Quality control software; SAP

    Additional proficiencies

    • Quality Inspection and Quality Control experience
    • Mechanical testing
    • Welding setups for production
    • AS9100 and ISO 22000 familiarity
    • Blueprint reading
    • Manufacturing Instructions (MI)
