Job Description

Quality Systems & Compliance

  • Supervise daily Quality Assurance and Quality Control operations across manufacturing, packaging, warehousing, and sanitation functions.
  • Ensure compliance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), FDA regulations, SOPs, and internal quality standards.
  • Maintain and improve quality management systems, procedures, and documentation.
  • Support customer, regulatory, and third-party audits and inspections.
  • Monitor quality metrics and implement corrective actions when necessary.
  • Ensure proper completion and review of batch records, production documentation, and quality records.

Product Quality Oversight

  • Conduct and supervise incoming material, in-process, and finished product inspections.
  • Review product specifications and ensure compliance with established quality requirements.
  • Investigate product deviations, non-conformances, customer complaints, and quality incidents.
  • Support root cause investigations and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs).
  • Monitor environmental, sanitation, and quality control programmes to ensure product safety and quality.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead, coach, and develop quality technicians and inspectors.
  • Conduct training on quality procedures, GMP requirements, documentation practices, and food safety principles.
  • Manage employee performance, scheduling, and workload distribution.
  • Promote a culture of quality, accountability, and continuous improvement throughout the facility.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve quality concerns and improve processes.

Audit & Regulatory Support

  • Participate in internal audits and prepare documentation for external inspections.
  • Assist in maintaining audit readiness at all times.
  • Ensure compliance with FDA regulations, GMP requirements, and applicable industry standards.
  • Support supplier qualification and vendor quality management activities as needed.
  • Review quality trends and recommend improvements to minimise risks and improve compliance.

Continuous Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to improve product quality, process efficiency, and overall compliance.
  • Analyse quality data and performance metrics to support strategic decision-making.
  • Assist with validation, verification, and change control initiatives.
  • Support implementation of new quality systems, programmes, and operational improvements.
  • Partner with Manufacturing, Operations, Maintenance, and Supply Chain teams to drive quality excellence.

The Successful Applicant

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 3+ years of quality assurance, quality control, or quality supervision experience in a regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Prior leadership or supervisory experience.
  • Working knowledge of cGMP regulations and quality systems.
  • Experience investigating deviations, non-conformances, and CAPAs.
  • Strong understanding of quality documentation and record-keeping requirements.
  • Excellent organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and quality management software.
  • Bachelor's degree in Quality, Food Science, Biology, Chemistry, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience within dietary supplements, nutraceuticals, pharmaceuticals, food manufacturing, or consumer packaged goods.
  • Knowledge of FDA requirements, supplier quality programmes, and audit management.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish.
