Position Summary
Our client is seeking an experienced Quality Supervisor to oversee quality activities and lead quality personnel at its Eclectic, Alabama facility. This position will provide hands-on leadership to ensure products meet established quality standards, customer requirements, and production specifications while supporting continuous improvement throughout the manufacturing operation.
The ideal candidate will have previous quality or manufacturing experience, strong leadership and communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Supervise, lead, coach, and develop quality personnel.
- Establish priorities and communicate quality expectations to employees and production teams.
- Monitor quality performance and ensure established quality standards and procedures are consistently followed.
- Inspect and evaluate products and processes to identify defects, inconsistencies, and opportunities for improvement.
- Review production records, inspection reports, work orders, and other quality documentation.
- Work closely with production supervisors and employees to identify and resolve quality issues.
- Investigate quality concerns, determine root causes, and assist with corrective and preventive actions.
- Monitor and report quality performance, trends, defects, and other key quality metrics.
- Ensure inspection and testing procedures are properly followed and documented.
- Assist with customer quality concerns and support timely resolution of quality issues.
- Maintain accurate quality records, reports, and documentation.
- Train and coach employees on quality procedures, standards, and expectations.
- Support audits and ensure compliance with company quality policies and procedures.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, reduce defects, and increase overall quality.
- Support Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Enforce company policies, procedures, safety requirements, and quality standards.
- Address employee performance issues through coaching, counseling, and disciplinary action when appropriate.
- Promote teamwork, accountability, and a strong quality-focused culture throughout the department.
