Job Description:Quality Supervisor (Project Coordinator)

Overview
Vayan Group is seeking a Quality Supervisor (Project Coordinator) to support quality and containment projects at our Tier 1 Eastern TN location. This role is ideal for someone with strong mechanical aptitude, experience in rework or containment, and a hands-on approach to project coordination. The Project Coordinator will oversee daily operations, ensure quality standards are met, and support site launches and small team activities.
*This role will be stationed in East TN, in the Athens area, but also subject to travel when needed to help support when needed, mostly local travel, Chattanooga, etc.*
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and oversee quality and containment activities on-site.
- Support mechanical rework operations and ensure adherence to specifications.
- Communicate effectively with customers, supervisors, and inspectors to maintain workflow and resolve issues.
- Ensure project documentation, reports, and quality records are accurate and timely.
- Assist with site launch activities, including setup, training, and process validation.
- Provide direction and support to small teams to achieve project goals.
- Maintain flexibility to meet production demands, including overtime and weekend work as needed.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Quality and Containment supervisory roles.
- Mechanical or Rework experience required.
- Engineering background or education preferred (not required).
- Strong problem-solving, organization, and communication skills.
- Must be flexible to work varying hours, overtime, and weekends as needed.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality Engineering, or a related engineering or technical field. Or equivalent 2-7 years’ experience.
