    Who We Are Looking For

    We are looking for a detail-oriented quality professional to join our team as an entry-level quality specialist within our QA department. In this role, you will manage complex quality-related tasks, lead and facilitate out-of-specification investigations, and partner with cross-functional teams in project meetings and technical reviews to resolve quality issues and support operational goals. You'll be recognized for accuracy, sound judgment, and a commitment to regulatory and quality standards, while sharing knowledge and driving continuous process improvements that support USANA's mission of delivering high-quality products.

    What You Will Do as USANA's Quality Specialist

    • Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance systems and processes in alignment with cGMP, FDA, and international regulations
    • Write, edit, review, and implement controlled documents; maintain accurate and complete records, including historical and GMP files; and prepare trend reports and presentations
    • Participate in and support internal quality audits, including audit preparation, execution assistance, responses, and follow-up activities
    • Support the stability program through documentation, data review, trending, and compliance activities in accordance with regulatory requirements
    • Assist in risk assessment meetings and processes, including supplier and raw material risk evaluations
    • Investigate and resolve product and process quality issues, support customer complaint investigations, and assist with operational and quality deviations and non-conformance investigations
    • Ensure adherence to regulatory, safety, and company policies, and maintain knowledge of government and industry QA codes and standards
    • Perform other duties as assigned to support quality and business objectives

    Background and Skills You Will Need

    • Bachelor's degree in chemistry, biology, pharmaceutical sciences, or a related field
    • One to two years of experience in quality assurance, document control, or compliance within the dietary supplement, pharmaceutical, or personal care industries
    • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and recordkeeping skills
    • Ability to manage multiple documentation tasks and meet deadlines
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and document management software
    • Effective written and verbal communication skills
    • Strong team collaboration and a willingness to learn

    What Will Make You Standout

    • Experience with QMS documentation or electronic quality management systems
    • Familiarity with FDA 21 CFR 111/211, cGMP, and ISO standards, and a basic understanding of cGMP and quality system principles

    This is a hybrid remote role with regular weekly in-office time in Salt Lake City.
