The Quality Specialist II - Metrology Technician coordinates and performs preventive maintenance/calibrations on designated laboratory equipment throughout Neogen’s operation, ensuring compliance with ISO and FDA requirements related to equipment control and customer/regulatory expectations as part of Neogen’s Food Safety Division.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform preventive maintenance/calibrations on designated laboratory equipment.
Administration/use of Master Equipment Database.
Maintain annual certification of reference equipment required to properly calibrate in-house equipment.
Develop, maintain, and complete equipment-related documentation in compliance with cGMP and ISO requirements.
Communicate and coordinate with various people throughout the organization to ensure equipment-related requirements are met.
Coordinate with vendors on outsourced calibrations.
Review records to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Other duties as assigned by Management.
Education&Experience
HighschooldiplomaorGEDrequired.
Professionalexperienceusing,maintaining,and/orcalibratinglaboratoryequipmentinanISOand/orFDA-regulatedenvironmentrequired.
Bachelor'sdegreeinascience-relatedfieldandpriorlaboratoryexperiencepreferred.
