Quality Inspector Supervisor

Nephron Nitrile is a new privately-owned Nitrile Glove manufacturer. Nephron Nitrile products are proudly made in the USA! We are headquartered in West Columbia, South Carolina. The facility utilizes completely automated manufacturing, packaging, and distribution systems, in addition to high volume and redundant utility systems, to ensure production system availability.
Position Summary:
- Supervise all quality employees on your shift and provide guidance where it is needed. Manage any testing required by quality for the shift.
- Keep records of employees who are absent or tardy and notify Manager when issues arise.
- Have personnel perform line clearances prior to the next lot starting on the production line.
- Ensures the shift employees visually inspect, labels, and packages of gloves into a shipping case after thoroughly inspecting and weighing each product.
- Assists with additional work duties or responsibilities as evident or required.
- Assigns other duties as directed by the Supervisor or Manager.
- Must be able to stand for long periods.
- Must be able to work 12hr shifts. This is a 24/7 operation and will require weekends and/or holidays to be staffed.
- Report any issues the quality supervisor and or manager.
Primary Accountabilities:

- Experience in assisting the monitoring of all quality areas and personnel for adherence to all cGMP, SOP’s, and safety regulations for purposes of product release.
- Assists QA Management or designee with product release for Nephron Nitrile, including any outstanding laboratory testing and any other quality responsibilities required by Quality Operations.
- Coordinate with Quality Management to communicate priorities to Quality operations.
- Assists with visual inspection training, efficiency, and reporting.
- Assist Quality Management with initiatives, campaigns, and special projects.
- Communicate quality-related observations, issues, problems, discrepancies, and any violations of company policies or procedures to QA Management or designee.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Bachelor of Arts or Science degree, preferred, with 1-3 years of pharmaceutical/medical device quality assurance experience, preferred.
- 2-4 years of experience with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint preferred.
- Written and oral communication skills.
- Must be able to interact within all departments of the company.
- Ability to work independently, and dependable.
- Ability to supervise, train, and motivate employees.
- Technical writing skills required.
- The ability to identify work elements in detail, develop work standards, work method, and improvements; develop procedures, and forms to effect method improvement and work simplification.
- Specific expertise, skills, and knowledge within quality assurance gained through education and experience.
- A broad perspective that aligns decisions to organizational objectives and long-term consequences of day-to-day activities.
