    Job Description:
    Due to increasing business activity and to further build upon our continued success, Belle Aire Creations needs capable Quality & Scheduling Leads. Our Quality & Scheduling Leads are specialists whose primary goal is to validate incoming raw materials through the production process, and into the finished goods phases of operations & schedule sample batches to be made through manufacturing software. To do so, the Quality & Sample teams oversee current production processes utilizing an array of raw test methods to ascertain compliance, as well as scheduling lists for sample orders. You will support the fragrance manufacturing process alongside Production Staff, Purchasing, Logistics, Customer Service, Planning, and sample fulfilment staff. Quality Technicians report to the Quality Manger of their respective shift, under direction of the Senior Quality Manger.
     
    Job Responsibilities:
    • Assist with scheduling sample work as directed by Operations managers.
    • Email confirmations of priority sample completions and other communication of 3rd shift sample status to extended members of the BAC sample process (this includes inter-building email and department communication.
    • Be point of contact for both 3rd shift sample lab and QC lab functions to Senior managers of Sample and QC departments.
    • Responsible for sample compounder and QC tech productivity by regular reporting to Operations managers.
    • Perform manual testing of rush samples.
    • Test and verify incoming raw materials to ensure correct identification and release.
    • Conduct preliminary odor evaluations on finished batches.
    • Pull micro samples for laboratory testing.
    • Load samples onto GC machines for analysis.
    • Conduct viscosity and pH testing as required.
    • Quarantine materials that are out of specification or range.
    • Oversee proper disposal of expired materials/products.
    • Implementation of safe work practices.
    • Adhere to Belle Aire Creations PTO policy.

    Requirements:
    Education and Experience:
    • High School Diploma required, Associate or bachelor degree preferred.
    • 3-year relevant experience in QC, production lab, or analytical lab environment.
    • Excellent oral and written proficiency in the English language.
    • Production skills: Knowledge of Good manufacturing processes (GMP’s).
    • Ability to work well under pressure.
    • Deadline oriented.
    • IT skills - Proficiency in using common PC applications.
    • Excellent ability to work with others.
    • Cognitive (Reasoning):
      • Apply principles of rational systems to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
      • Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, visual, or schedule form.
    • Communication:
      • Vocalize and explain detailed data and problem-solve, both in-person and by telephone. Must have good communication skills (both verbal and written)
      • Compose routine correspondence on own initiative.
      • Make comprehensive notes in English.
      • May involve a large volume of such composition.
      • Must have ability to work well under pressure.
      • Send follow-up emails and provide requested documentation to other departments.
      • Maintain clear and timely communication with other departments, providing status updates as needed.
      • Assist with work scheduling as directed by the Quality Manager.
      • Collaborate effectively with team members and provide support as needed
    • Physical Capabilities
      • Strength (lifting, dexterity, repetitive motion):
        • Must be able to lift 40-lbs onto waist high shelves.
        • Must be able to lift and carry a min of 25lbs.
      • Movement: Employee will frequently use fingers, walk and distinguish basic colors. Employee will continuously use both hands, sit for extended periods of time, and use rapid or well-developed coordination simultaneously.
      • Hearing: Must be able to hear and understand work direction in a loud, distracting environment
      • Vision: Must be able to judge distance, identify details, and view computer screen regularly
