Description

Job Summary

Join our team in Germantown, a vibrant community known for its excellent quality of life and thriving business environment. As a Quality Technician I, you will play a crucial role in testing and inspecting precision electronics and electronically controlled pneumatic devices. This position requires on-site presence during scheduled shifts to ensure daily production schedules are met.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct functional tests on products at sub-assembly and final assembly levels according to written test procedures.
  • Verify current revision levels of products and visually inspect them for appearance and workmanship before final submission.
  • Implement changes in process and procedure as needed.
  • Demonstrate math and reading skills while working with minimal supervision.
  • Communicate effectively, follow written and verbal instructions, and respond positively to feedback.
  • Complete daily schedules as assigned by supervisors.
  • Adhere to workplace safety by wearing required PPE and maintaining a clean, organized work environment in line with 5S protocol standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma, certification(s), or equivalent work experience (1 to 2 years preferred).
  • 1 to 2 years of experience as a test technician with a background in electronics manufacturing and/or standalone testing of electronic boards.
  • Basic knowledge of mechanics, machine testing procedures, and common test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multi-meters, signal/function generators, and frequency counters.
  • Basic proficiency in utilizing HyperTerminal, Pro-comm, or Tera Term software.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft OS, Windows XP through 10.

Physical Demands

  • Regularly required to talk and hear.
  • Regularly required to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
  • Regularly required to walk throughout the day.
  • Regularly required to see and observe small labels and components.
  • Work in a temperature-controlled office environment, with frequent exposure to electric tools, occasional loud noises, and possible exposure to fumes.
