    Description

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 
    • Determine quality improvement factors 
    • Ensure evaluation of vendor quality systems and initiate and complete corrective actions as required 
    • Implement inspection methods and evaluate the reliability of manufacturing processes 
    • Manage Internal Quality Audit Program 
    • Actively participate and lead where appropriate in the Change Management processes 
    • Determine the need for and manage First Article Inspection Requests (FAIR) 
    • Plan and organize training sessions for employees that provide tools to execute Continuous Improvement activities and support quality processes 
    • Facilitate major improvement projects as assigned 
    • Assist with the development and implementation of inspection criteria 
    • Document working processes and/or work instructions across the organization and provide guidance for improvement 
    • Manage to completion non-compliance of products by working with the Materials Department, driving to root cause and providing sustainable corrective action as needed 
    • Manage Corrective Action program
    • Other duties as assigned
    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

    QUALIFICATIONS:
    •  Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience
    • 2-5 years applied and related quality experience
    • Successful Implementation and training in Lean Manufacturing tools
    • Proven knowledge of Quality Management Systems (ISO-9001, and AAR M-1003)
    • Quality Auditor (ISO-9001)
    • Six Sigma Green Belt or higher preferred
    • ASQ certification preferred
    • Ability to interpret technical procedures and regulations
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to work well across all levels of the organization
    • Ability to function independently of direct supervision
    • Self-motivated with the ability to lead and motivate others without direct oversight authority
    • Positive attitude and strong work ethic
    • Strong problem-solving skills
    • Applied experience with mentoring, leading, and coaching at various organizational levels
    • Strong organizational skills
    • Strong computer skills and proficient in MS office applications
    • Preferred experience with developing quality acceptance criteria 
    • Travel up to 30% as required
    • Pass mandatory pre-employment drug screen, background check, and a current valid driver’s license
