Quality Assurance Manager

Lead all quality assurance and quality control activities across manufacturing, fabrication, welding, and assembly operations. Perform and oversee inspections of components, weldments, and finished assemblies utilizing engineering drawings, specifications, and applicable industry standards. Manage nondestructive testing activities, including visual, magnetic particle, penetrant, and ultrasonic inspections. Conduct dimensional inspections using precision measurement equipment to ensure product conformity. Interpret and apply AWS, AWWA, ASME, ISO, and other applicable quality and welding standards. Drive corrective actions, root cause investigations, and resolution of nonconforming materials and processes. Develop, maintain, and continuously improve the organization's Quality Management System (QMS). Oversee welder qualification programs, certifications, and compliance with welding procedures and standards. Review and approve welding documentation, including WPSs, PQRs, and WPQs. Collaborate with Production, Engineering, and Project Management teams to resolve quality challenges and implement process improvements. Monitor quality performance metrics and lead initiatives aimed at reducing defects, rework, scrap, and waste. Provide mentoring, training, and technical guidance to quality personnel, welders, and manufacturing teams.

Proficiency in quality management systems and related tools. AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification is required. 7+ years of quality experience within manufacturing, fabrication, welding, or related industrial environments. Strong understanding of AWS D1.1, AWWA standards, welding codes, and quality compliance requirements. Experience administering welding certification programs and welder qualification testing. Proficiency interpreting blueprints, weld symbols, technical specifications, and engineering drawings. Hands-on experience with NDT methods, inspection processes, and quality management systems. Strong leadership, communication, project management, and problem-solving abilities. Experience with ISO 9001 or similar quality management frameworks is highly preferred. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, Welding, or a related discipline is preferred, though equivalent industry experience will be considered. Experience within heavy manufacturing, structural fabrication, industrial equipment, or related sectors is a plus.
