Quality Manager
Job Location: Napa, California
Job Type: Direct Hire
Pay Rate: $48.07-$62.50/hour
Schedule: Monday -Friday; 8am-4:30pm
Description of Position:
Do you have experience leading quality program in technical, laboratory, or manufacturing environment? Our client is seeking a Quality Manager to oversee and continuously improve the company's quality systems. This role plays an important part in ensuring the consistent delivery of high-quality data, maintaining accreditation standards, and building a culture of continuous improvement across laboratory operations.
The Quality Manager will report directly to the Managing Director and will work closely with teams across the organization. Ideal candidate is an experienced quality professional and hands-on leader who understands quality systems, technical documentation, audits, calibration, and continuous improvement. You should be highly organized, detail oriented, comfortable working with technical teams, and passionate about maintaining high standards for quality, safety, and data integrity.
Job Responsibilities:
- Maintain and continuously improve the ISO-accredited Quality Management System
- Support ISO 17025 standards and accreditation requirements
- Conduct technical and quality internal audits across sites
- Lead corrective and preventative action programs and quality investigations
- Oversee in house calibration activities and external calibration compliance for mechanical and electrical equipment
- Manage technician and operator training programs related to quality standards
- Develop, maintain, and improve Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions
- Oversee the Document Management System (DMS), preferably using Microsoft SharePoint

You will be supporting a well-established laboratory in Napa County, committed to advancing renewable energy technologies through rigorous testing and innovation.
Experience Required:
- Strong experience in quality management and quality systems
- Knowledge of ISO 17025 and industry testing standards
- Proven experience developing and executing quality programs
- Excellent project management and organizational skills
- Comfortable working hands on in a laboratory or technical environment
- Experience with JMP, Minitab, and Python
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field; Master's degree preferred
- 5+ years of experience in Quality and/or HSE leadership
- OSHA 30 or equivalent safety certification
- Experience in solar, electrical, laboratory, or technical testing environments
- Familiarity with OSHA, NFPA, EPA, and other safety regulations and standards
- Experience with LabVIEW, MATLAB, R, or Modbus
