Position Overview
Hollingsworth recently launched a new wheel and tire repackaging facility in Mishawaka, IN, and is seeking a Quality Manager to lead the site's quality function, build strong quality systems, and ensure all customer and regulatory requirements are met.
In this role, you will provide strategic and hands-on leadership for quality operations, partner with site and customer leadership, and build a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. You will oversee issue resolution, audit readiness, quality performance, and the processes that protect product integrity and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Quality Issue Resolution
- Lead the site's response to quality issues, including containment, root cause analysis, corrective action, and verification of effectiveness
- Own customer complaint resolution and ensure timely, accurate corrective action submissions
- Direct inspection and validation activities for incoming and repackaged wheel and tire products
- Oversee non-conforming material controls, including quarantine, hold, disposition, and escalation
- Establish accountability for defects related to packaging, labeling, handling, and product integrity
Process Improvement
- Set quality improvement priorities using performance data, customer feedback, and operational risk
- Partner with operations leadership to improve repackaging workflows, handling standards, and process controls
- Lead scrap reduction, defect prevention, and cost-of-poor-quality initiatives
- Approve and maintain work instructions, quality procedures, and process controls
- Champion continuous improvement activities and ensure actions produce measurable results
Customer & Supplier Support
- Serve as the primary site contact and escalation point for customer quality concerns
- Oversee PPAP, APQP, and related customer documentation requirements as applicable
- Lead communication with customers and suppliers to resolve quality issues and protect business relationships
- Ensure customer portals, scorecards, and required responses are monitored and completed on time
Quality Systems & Compliance
- Own the site quality management system and ensure compliance with customer requirements and applicable standards, including ISO 9001 and IATF
- Lead internal, customer, and third-party audits, including preparation, corrective actions, and follow-through
- Ensure quality documentation, including control plans, PFMEA, process flows, and procedures, remains accurate and current
- Build quality capability through training, coaching, clear standards, and consistent process accountability
Reporting & Metrics
- Define, monitor, and report site quality KPIs, including defects, scrap, returns, rework, audit findings, and corrective action closure
- Translate quality data into clear priorities, risks, and action plans for site and customer leadership
- Provide regular updates on quality performance, major issues, corrective actions, and improvement progress
- Oversee calibration, measurement systems, quality records, and related resource needs
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, Operations, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered
- Five or more years of progressive quality experience in manufacturing, automotive, distribution, or repackaging operations
- Previous experience leading a quality function, team, major program, or site-level quality initiatives
- Demonstrated success with root cause analysis, corrective action, audits, and quality management systems
- Working knowledge of automotive quality tools and requirements, including PPAP, APQP, PFMEA, control plans, and 8D
- Strong ability to influence cross-functional teams, communicate with customers, and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with wheel/tire handling or automotive logistics
- Background in high-volume distribution or repackaging operations
- Exposure to Lean or Six Sigma methodologies
