The organization offers an opportunity to join a collaborative team and make a direct impact on quality processes and operational performance.Job DescriptionLead quality assurance and quality control activities across manufacturing and fabrication operations. Perform and oversee inspections of components, welds, and assemblies. Conduct and/or oversee NDT activities, including VT, MT, PT, and UT. Perform dimensional inspections using precision measurement tools. Interpret and apply applicable AWS, ASME, AWWA, and ISO standards. Manage non-conformances, root cause analysis, and corrective actions. Develop and maintain the company's Quality Management System (QMS). Oversee welder qualification and certification programs. Review and approve WPSs, PQRs, and WPQs. Ensure compliance with applicable welding codes and customer specifications. Partner with production and engineering to resolve quality issues and improve processes. Track quality metrics and implement initiatives to reduce defects, rework, and waste. MPI encourages applications from minorities, women, the disabled, protected veterans and all other qualified applicants.The Successful ApplicantAWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification required. 7+ years of quality experience in manufacturing, fabrication, welding, or a related industrial environment. Strong knowledge of AWS welding codes and applicable industry standards. Experience managing weld certification programs and welder performance testing. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and engineering drawings. Experience with NDT methods and quality management systems. Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.Preferred QualificationsExperience in heavy industrial or structural fabrication. Familiarity with ISO 9001 or similar QMS standards.
