Description

Quality Manager

Join an established precision manufacturing company specializing in miniature, high-volume, high-precision turned components. This is an opportunity for a hands-on Quality Manager/Lead to lead quality initiatives, drive continuous improvement, and ensure products and processes meet customer, aerospace, military, and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

-Lead quality programs, root cause analysis, corrective/preventive actions, process improvement, and customer/supplier problem resolution in a fast-paced precision machining environment.
-Oversee and coordinate quality inspectors while providing hands-on training and technical guidance on the shop floor.
-Perform and oversee mechanical inspection using optical comparators, thread gages, indicators, micrometers, CMMs, and other precision measurement equipment; manage gage calibration and purchasing.
-Review customer specifications, quotations, incoming orders, and quality documentation to ensure compliance with applicable requirements and standards.



Requirements

-Proven Quality Management experience in a job shop environment machining miniature, high-volume, high-precision turned components, with strong knowledge of GD&T and mechanical inspection methods.
-Experience interpreting customer, aerospace/military, and third-party specifications and documentation, along with PPAP, FMEA, and AS9102 First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR).
-Working knowledge of ISO 9001 and AS9100 quality systems; experience as a Management Representative or Lead Auditor is highly valuable.
-Strong leadership, communication, writing, problem-solving, and continuous-improvement skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel; occasional travel required.

Preferences

-Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills.
-Experience leading quality improvement initiatives and coordinating quality teams in aerospace, defense, or other highly regulated precision manufacturing environments.
