Are you a quality leader who enjoys improving manufacturing processes, driving continuous improvement, and leading quality systems in a machining environment? We're looking for an experienced Quality Assurance Manager to oversee our Quality Management System (QMS), lead Quality Control operations, and partner with engineering and production to ensure exceptional product quality.
This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll have a direct impact on quality, compliance, operational excellence, and customer satisfaction.
Lead and manage all Quality Assurance and Quality Control activities.
Own and maintain the company's ISO 9001 Quality Management System (QMS).
Supervise Quality Control personnel and provide leadership, coaching, and accountability.
Oversee incoming, in-process, and final inspections to ensure products meet customer specifications.
Lead internal audits, corrective actions, root cause investigations, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Coordinate external customer and certification audits while maintaining audit readiness.
Review engineering drawings, blueprints, work travelers, and inspection documentation.
Ensure calibration records and inspection equipment remain compliant and up to date.
Partner with Engineering, Production, Purchasing, Sales, and Management to maintain quality standards throughout manufacturing.
Support contract review activities and ensure customer, regulatory, and compliance requirements are met.
Analyze quality data and develop process improvements that reduce defects and improve efficiency.
Establish quality metrics, monitor performance, and communicate results to leadership.
5+ years of Quality Assurance and/or Quality Control leadership experience within a manufacturing environment.
Previous leadership or supervisory experience.
Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.
Experience leading internal audits, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.
Experience using precision inspection equipment including calipers, micrometers, gauges, and related measuring tools.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Excellent communication and cross-functional leadership abilities.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ERP/MRP systems.
Manufacturing experience in a machining, fabrication, or job shop environment.
Hands-on understanding of machining processes and manufacturing operations.
Experience with manual CMMs, comparators, or advanced inspection equipment.
Technical or trade school education is a plus.
