    Job Description:

    We are currently seeking a Quality Manager at our Brazil Indiana location. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in quality and compliance related to the aerospace industry and its related certifications and requirements.


    Qualifications

    • Knowledge in Lean principles
    • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Aerospace manufacturing
    • NADCAP / AS9100 requirements
    • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
    • Three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
    • Working knowledge of Shop Mathematics, Blueprints, GD&T, Models, machining qualities of materials
    • Computer skills necessary to learn/operate spreadsheets, email, powerpoint and web-based applications
    • Basic knowledge of Work Health & Safety as they apply to a work safe environment
    • Verbal and interpersonal skills necessary to establish and maintain effective working relationships
    • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
    • Strong communication skills
    • Strong organization and planning skills
    • Knowledge of 5S/Lean principles
    • Problem Solving – RCCA, Identifies and resolves problems; Gathers and analyzes information skillfully
    • Analytical – be able to collect and research data (knowledge of SPC)
    • Perform Failure Mode Effects Analysis (FMEA) on new programs to minimize or eliminate risk by focusing on prevention and continuous improvement
    • Proficient with researching, interpreting, and applying customer specifications and work instructions or procedures
    • Excellent interpersonal and customer contact skills

    Responsibilities

    • The Quality Manager ensures that KIHM QMS conforms to Customer, AS9100, NADCAP and regulatory / legal requirements
    • Oversees the inspection of incoming materials, in-process and final product ensuring they meet requirements
    • Oversees inspection personnel (scheduling, performance reviews, etc..)
    • Training employees on Quality procedures
    • Performs root cause analysis of discrepancies (System or product) and implement corrective actions
    • Analyze failure, corrective and preventive action to respond to customer complaints
    • Evaluate precision and accuracy of production equipment and testing, measurement and analytical equipment (MSA studies)
    • Perform Failure Mode Effects Analysis (FMEA) on new programs to minimize or eliminate risk by focusing on prevention and continuous improvement
    • Manage the monitoring, measurement and review of internal process
    • Works with Engineering and Operations to ensure company goals are met
    • Prepares reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing data
    • Assist in developing training to build quality awareness
    • Performs audit (internal, external)
    • Other various duties as needed or as assigned
    • Fully understand blueprints, drawings, templates, preliminary sketches and/or work orders

     

    Physical Requirements:

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee should have the ability to stand for long durations of time. The employee could be required to sit; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
