Quality Manager – Automotive Manufacturing
Holland, MI
We are seeking an experienced Quality Manager to lead quality operations within a fast-paced automotive manufacturing environment. This role will oversee the plant quality system, customer quality, supplier quality, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Lead all plant quality assurance and quality control activities
- Serve as the primary quality contact for customers and internal leadership
- Maintain and improve the IATF 16949 Quality Management System
- Manage corrective actions, root cause analysis, and customer quality concerns
- Oversee floor quality, inspection, rework, SPC, and gage control programs
- Support supplier quality, audits, and qualification activities
- Monitor quality metrics and drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensure products consistently meet customer and company quality standards
Lead and develop the plant quality team
Qualifications
- 5+ years of automotive manufacturing quality experience
- Prior Quality Manager or Quality Leadership experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of IATF 16949 / ISO quality systems
- Experience with SPC, gage calibration, GD&T, and CMM technology
- Strong corrective action, problem-solving, and root cause analysis skills
- Excellent customer-facing communication and leadership abilities
- Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent experience considered
Experience within automotive stamping, welding, metal fabrication, or related manufacturing is highly desirable.
