Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Quality Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the quality assurance processes in a CNC manufacturing environment. You will work collaboratively with production and engineering teams to address and resolve quality challenges on the shop floor, ensuring that our high standards are consistently met and maintained.

Responsibilities

• Inspect CNC metal machined products, including measuring and validating CMM results.
• Read and understand parts drawings and use inspection tools such as CMM, micrometers, height gages, indicators, calipers, and comparators for accurate measurements.
• Review contracts, purchase orders, and customer specifications to ensure quality requirements are integrated into manufacturing processes.
• Act as a liaison with customers and suppliers to resolve complaints, coordinate audits, and drive corrective actions.
• Mentor inspectors in practical problem-solving and quality tools.
• Champion the creation and implementation of quality-related policies and procedures.
• Perform dimensional inspection on machined products using mechanical inspection tools or CMM when applicable.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on scrap reduction, process capability, and repeatability.
• Utilize ProShop ERP to manage and maintain quality-related records, including inspection results and nonconformance reports.
• Ensure inspection plans, routings, and quality checkpoints are accurately reflected in ProShop and aligned with current manufacturing processes.
• Maintain and oversee inspection tool calibration programs, ensuring all measurement equipment is calibrated and compliant with internal and customer requirements.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in GD&T and the person Y14.5 standards.
• Proven experience as a QC Manager or Quality Manager within a CNC manufacturing company.
• Expertise in ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 standards.
• Experience with CMM programming and quality management.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in metrology and the use of measuring instruments.
• Familiarity with ProShop ERP for quality management.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with production, engineering, and planning teams.

Work Environment

Work in a very clean and climate-controlled machine shop with around 20 employees, fostering a focused and efficient work atmosphere.

This is a Permanent position based out of Gallatin, TN.

The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $100000.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
